Platinum Matched Pair E188CC Valvo 7308 RARE Curved D Getter NOS Philips 1960
Auction is for one platinum matched pair ( 2 tubes ) E188CC Valvo 7308, Red Logo and Printings, RARE Curved Dual Stage D Getter, gray shields, gold pins. Made by Philips in Heerlen tube plant in 1960, VR1 Delta0C etched codes. This is Holy Grail of E88CC 6922 CCa 6N23P ECC88 6DJ8 E188CC 7308 tubes. I had few dozen of them, they are all from the same batch as shown on the photos, but not all original boxes have survived. This pair comes in generic Valvo boxes, as shown on photos. I can also send original boxes, but it’s too risky to store the tubes in them, they are without top flips, or with top flips separated. They are close serial numbers, the same etched codes and the same 12J codes printed on each tube. They are really closely matched, tested with 100V on anodes and -1.5V on plates on calibrated Tesla BM215A tester and the results are: (19.0/20.0mA) (18.8/19.5mA) These are real gems, low noise and microphonics tested in RIAA preamp and nicely selected and matched from big batch by plate current.

In other words, these tubes compete and ONLY compete in the Holy Grail league of the 7316/ECC186 family.
