Akai GX-4000DB Dolby System Reel to Reel Tape Deck. Made in Japan. Vintage
In used condition. May show signs of use, did get sound to come out. But probably needs a good cleaning of the switches and pots. Since this had been sitting in a basement without use for a long time. It’s in good cosmetic shape. Sold as is. Comes as pictured. Please see pics for condition

For sale one Akai GX-4000D reel to reel stereo tape recorder in excellent physical condition with virtually no blemishes as the photos show. Acquired as part of a lot of audio equipment from a local estate sale. It was labeled by the previous owner as working but in need of a new drive motor or run capacitor. Replacements are easily found for less than $40. The unit powers on and all lamps and indicators including the VU meters work. The belts and fuses are good. Includes the often lost 7.5 IPS capstan roller adapter. It’s a very cool piece but one that I have no use for.
