Why Buy From Us?: Why should you purchase your tubes from Lakeland Music? We have been in the business since 2007, providing vintage tubes, music equipment, and other vintage items to our clients. We utilize a unique testing process, using a combination of vintage tube testers for shorts and gas checks, and precise modern testing equipment that is both expensive and time consuming to fully verify the meaningful electrical values of every tube we list. We also audio test every tube in one of our many amplifiers, both instrument and hi-fi, for sound quality. As far as we know, we are the only tube retailer that performs such extensive checks, including the most popular retailers. Our tubes may be more expensive than other options out there, but when you work with us you know exactly what you are getting, dispelling the myth that buying tubes from eBay is a gamble, or that there is "only junk on eBay". We've seen this opinion on forums for many years, and took it to heart. We want to be the exception to this unwarranted viewpoint. You are bidding on 12AX7 RFT EAST GERMANY ECC83 VINTAGE TUBE NOS NIB RARE (1967) RFT ECC83 12AX7(A), NOS in original boxes.Made in Eastern Germany. These tubes are well known for their sound and quiet operation. Great for any amp, but they perform very well in gain stages due to the robust short plate design. Packing dates on the boxes indicate production in 1967. All tubes bear the same manufacturing codes on the glass, except for two. All tubes are identical production construction, 12mm grey plates with heavy duty mica getter post. ____________________________________________________________ Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Tested on our eTracer & Hickok 800A testers. Values for plate current (mA), Rp, Gm and Mu are detailed below. Tubes test well above nominal manufacturer specifications, with tight voltage gain ratings. Corners test simulates natural voltage spikes under real operating conditions and tracks plate current variations. eTracer: Tube #1: (701005 Code) **SOLD** Triode #1 - Plate Current = 1.17mA Rp = 54350 Gm = 1802 Mu = 98.0 Corners = PASS Triode #2 - Plate Current = 1.27mA Rp = 50985 Gm = 1947 Mu = 99.3 Corners = PASS Tube #2: (701005 Code) Triode #1 - Plate Current = 1.01mA Rp = 56730 Gm = 1802 Mu = 102.2 Corners = PASS Triode #2 - Plate Current = 0.96mA Rp = 70220 Gm = 1542 Mu = 108.3 Corners = PASS Tube #3: (652354 Code) Triode #1 - Plate Current = 1.31mA Rp = 51910 Gm = 1875 Mu = 97.3 Corners = PASS Triode #2 - Plate Current = 1.08mA Rp = 55582 Gm = 1761 Mu = 97.9 Corners = PASS Tube #4: (652354 Code) Triode #1 - Plate Current = 1.17mA Rp = 53501 Gm = 1924 Mu = 103.0 Corners = PASS Triode #2 - Plate Current = 1.31mA Rp = 51489 Gm = 1910 Mu = 98.3 Corners = PASS Tube #5: (652354 Code) Triode #1 - Plate Current = 1.18mA Rp = 53926 Gm = 1971 Mu = 106.3 Corners = PASS Triode #2 - Plate Current = 1.13mA Rp = 56683 Gm = 1815 Mu = 102.9 Corners = PASS Tube #6: (652354 Code) Triode #1 - Plate Current = 1.14mA Rp = 53225 Gm = 1918 Mu = 102.1 Corners = PASS Triode #2 - Plate Current = 1.06mA Rp = 58094 Gm = 1747 Mu = 101.5 Corners = PASS Gm Nominal = 1250 Minimum Good = 700No Shorts or Leaks Check our store for more great tubes. This is a widely criticized word that many electronics experts and hobbyists enthusiasts do not like to hear unless the item is brand new, sealed in the box. When it comes to listing as a seller, sometimes to match your product with a buyer who may be looking for your item, but doesn't always know the proper terms to search, you must use the terminology most used by the buyer for the product they are looking for. Many tube buyers only know vintage tubes by the term "NOS" and will not type "vintage" when searching for what they are looking for. Therefore, when we list "NOS" in the title, we are only describing a vintage tube. When a tube is new in box, we will combine that with the term "NIB", or "New In Box". We will also list that the item is "NIB", "NOS", or "new in box", when a vintage item meets a certain threshold of visual quality combined with test data for it's age and type. This still may show signs of handling, marks, dirt, dust, rust, patina,or tarnish. This is normal for items stored for many decades in sometimes less than ideal climates. These items also have been understandably handled and changed hands many times over their life. This usually results in less than perfect cosmetic condition, but by no means indicates the item is used. Most audio experts are in 100% agreement on this. We hope this clears up the title term NOS for some buyers who have or will inquire about this. We are not trying to misrepresent our items, we are simply attempting to put our listings into the hands of those who want to see them. Performance Of Vintage Items: We cannot guarantee a vintage item will perform the same with or in your equipment as it did in ours, or that a vintage item will continue to function once it is used. We list our items honestly and accurately as possible, many times the items we are selling are 50-80 years old.
